Re: Dead pool 2020 edition

Well, this is embarrassing. Franco Zeffirelli died last year but I included him in my 2020 picks. I realized this earlier today after reading a 2019 In Memoriam article.

Re: It's 2019: Have you seen Casablanca (1942)?

I agree 100% about getting today's generation watching the classics. When my twelve year old son told me his class was having a mock trial and he was on the jury that was the perfect opportunity for...

Re: It's 2019: Have you seen Casablanca (1942)?

I first saw Casablanca when I was 18 and working in a video store. Iíve probably watched it once a year ever since. It is my all-time favorite movie and turned me onto Humphrey Bogart movies in...

Re: What are some good sports autobiographies?

It's Only A Mountain by Sam Nall. I read this several years ago after seeing a TV segment on this amazing father/son duo, Dick and Rick Hoyt. It looks like Dick has written a book of his own since...

re: Killing Eve (BBC America, AMC) -- S: Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer -- Premieres 4/8/18

From the looks of this thread it seems not many were interested in this show which is a shame because I think it was fantastic. I was reminded about this series when the Golden Globe nominations were...

Re: The Predator (Black, 2018) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

It's certainly not the best Predator film in the series, nor is it the worst. It has some funny lines and good action scenes. There may have been one too many people in The Loonies group though. It...

Re: Last Show You Binged?

Over the last two weeks I binged seasons 1 and 2 of Graves starring Nick Nolte and Sela Ward. Twenty episodes at thirty minutes each wasn't too much of a commitment. I enjoyed it but it seems like no...

I've been fortunate to hear some pretty good speakers, alongside a few duds, in the past few years through my job, I've seen:

Re: My Wrestling Retro Journal - 1998 ("The Attitude Era" Begins)

Bobby Duncum Jr. died of a drug overdose in 2000 though I'm not sure if he was done with the company or still employed with them at the time of his death.
