Re: What concert did you recently attend?

They did, but according to what I could find, due to some conflict/agreement with the venue they couldn't record the performance so they sold the previous night's show from Foxwoods which had the...

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

To my ears he was absolutely perfect, both vocally and on the guitar. Having never seen them live previously I had no idea he could play the guitar like he did. Not to embellish, but the show gave...

Re: XLIII Random Pic Thread, The Knights Who Say "Ni!" edition.

Hey, that's near me. Pine Ridge pet cemetery. Very interesting place to walk through, with most of the graves/tombs being as old as Dewey's. Lizzie Borden's dogs are buried there too.

Re: Fast food joint: "I can sit where I want, it's public."

My guess is that your SIL was about to be the victim of a crime. The dad, or most likely the kids while she was distracted by him, were going to snatch her purse or something from it.

Re: Midsommar (2019, D: Ari Aster) -- S: Pugh, Poulter, Reynor, Harper

Yeah, that trailer seems to have given away quite a bit.

Re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

It only has the audio track with Arnold's voice, not the dub.

Re: New England Tourist Question

You haven't seen shithole until you've seen Springfield.
How about Manhattan? It's 2 1/2, maybe 3 hours from Springfield.
As for casinos, there's the MGM in downtown Springfield, but don't expect...

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (12/20/19, W/D: J.J. Abrams)

I think you're off. My guess is that the medal is completely unrelated and is Leia finding it and reminiscing about Han. It would make sense that footage of that nature may exist. I'm in the camp...

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (12/20/19, W/D: J.J. Abrams)

Was that Palpatine laughing at the end? If so, has he been holed up in the Death Star wreckage all this time?

re: Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (12/20/19, W/D: J.J. Abrams)

And the reverse is also true. You don't see as much from those on the boards who disliked it as they realized early on wasn't worth the time and effort to get into a ridiculous back and forth with...

Re: Dragon Ball Z: 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition

re: Eddie Money live? [Update: Dead at 70]

Saw him at a free show back at the end of September. He still has a lot of energy, but it comes across as if he's coked up. And like a previous poster mentioned, he 'cheats' by having the audience or...

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

I'm pretty sure they mailed at least one of my orders last night. Got a message from UPS Quantum that a package is on its way to me from Ontario that was started in LA.

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

I had everything I wanted in my cart just prior to the sale start time. As soon as it went live I began checking out. I made it to the 2nd to last screen (shipping address) and could get no further...

Re: The House That Jack Built (D: Lars von Trier) S: Matt Dillon, Bruno Ganz

I liked it.
Laughed at numerous inappropriate moments, and one, "Oh Jesus."

Surprised there were only 5 or 6 others at the showing.

Re: Target deals

It did not ring up $15 for me, though they did price match their website to make it so.
