Re: Pandora (CW) -- Sci-Fi action series -- Premieres 7/16/19

I'll give it a try. Directv isn't carrying The CW (in my area, at least). I prefer to record and watch at my leisure,
but I guess I'll have to stream these fairly soon... along with The Outpost...

Re: Does a bad series finale ruin an otherwise great multi season show?

I was trying to vote yes when my tablet slipped. I have no desire to watch GoT again after the fiasco of the last season. It is more than unfortunate that the producers were allowed to ruin such a...

Re: Euphoria (HBO) -- S: Zendaya -- premieres 6/16/19

Sounds like a PC nightmare.

A lot of the stuff that's put out today is so focused on identity and "wokeness" that they forget about just writing a good story. A person is so much more than their...

Glad it was renewed.

Re: The Hot Zone (NatGeo) -- limited series -- S: Margulies, Cunningham, D'Arcy, Grace, Emmerich -- 5/27/

I read The Hot Zone books years ago and tried to watch the series, but found it boring and poorly put together.

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E06) -- 79 minute Series Finale -- “The Iron Throne” -- 5/19/19

I would not be dissatisfied with the ending if they had taken the time to tell it correctly. The rushed action films of the last two seasons did a huge disservice to the series.

Also, Tyrion...

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E06) -- 79 minute Series Finale -- “The Iron Throne” -- 5/19/19

I have read the entire Wheel of Time series multiple times. It was awesome. I have always hoped that it would somehow come to the small screen in a series format. It is just way too large and...

Re: The Challenge: War of the Worlds (MTV) -- premieres 2/6/19

Cara Maria continues to wimp out. This time over a needle. Not having those extra fluids will cost her, not that's she's got a shot anyway, if the second half is anything like the first.

Also...

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E05) -- 78 minute episode -- “The Bells” -- 5/12/19

I don't think that the writers would have to Biblical scholars to be aware of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse or that Death rides a White Horse...

The imagery at the end of the episode was...

Not surprised, but still disappointed. This means that the show's end will most likely be THE END to GoT.

It's been so many years since he wrote the last book and he's still not even...

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E05) -- 78 minute episode -- “The Bells” -- 5/12/19

Jaime had seen first-hand, and been on the receiving end, of what the dragons could do in the Tyrell countryside. And saw them in action again in the Battle of Winterfell. Maybe that played into his...

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E05) -- 78 minute episode -- “The Bells” -- 5/12/19

For those that didn't look at the Russian ComicCon Youtube clip that someone posted earlier in the thread, it had what amounts to a BIG announcement (sort of) for those of us who have given up...

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E05) -- 78 minute episode -- “The Bells” -- 5/12/19

I was wrong in my guesses as to how this would turn out. That episode was a shocker.

Your predictions on how it will end seem to be on the mark from where things stand now.

But who knows. Can't...

Re: The Challenge: War of the Worlds (MTV) -- premieres 2/6/19

Don't get me wrong. Glad he was eliminated. Still, it was painful to watch repeated 50 foot falls. Don't like him, but don't want to see him kill himself.

Of those left, I would like to see...

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E04) -- 78 minute episode -- “The Last of the Starks” -- 5/5/19

I just had another thought. Everyone is forgetting how Cersei's unborn baby may effect things. Jaime.loves Brienne now and wants to protect her and Tyrion from Cersei.

But... even though he was...

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E04) -- 78 minute episode -- “The Last of the Starks” -- 5/5/19

Did you miss the talk with Jamie and Tyrion? It more or less confirmed his feelings for Brienne and Tyrion told him he was happy for him.

Jamie didn't decide to leave for the south until Bronn...

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E03) -- 82 minute episode -- “The Long Night” -- 4/28/19

I wasn't arguing against Theon being a major character, just for Arya. I agree completely about Theon.

Now Sansa is definitely second tier.

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E03) -- 82 minute episode -- “The Long Night” -- 4/28/19

Disagree about Arya being a second tier character. Arya's storyline has been instrumental since Day 1. She has been a constant presence, starting from the child who wanted to be a warrior, her...
