Re: Parasite (2019, D: Bong Joon Ho)

Not sure if itís been mentioned in this thread but:

[spoiler] the little boys flashback encounter with ďthe ghostĒ was such an amazingly creepy scene. The closest I can remember a scene unsettling...

Re: Joker (Phillips, 2019) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

The moment any trailer grabs me (usually within 30 seconds) or if itís a movie I already know Iím going to be interested in, I immediately shut down the trailer or donít even watch it to begin with....

Re: Dragged Across Concrete (2019, D: S. Craig Zahler) S: Vaughn, Gibson

Finally saw this. Have been looking forward to it and wasnít disappointed. Iím not getting the hate for this film. As stated, Zahler is 3 for 3. Great performances by Kittles and Gibson. Movie...

Re: True Detective (S2E08) -- Season Finale -- "Now Am Found" -- 2/24/19

There should have never been a call back to the first season. There was no payoff associated with it and the original premise of the series was that each season would stand alone. This almost veered...

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: DEAD]

Iím wondering how THEY even keep track of this shit? My guess is they donít. Clueless employees led by clueless management. Must be a shitshow over there.

Re: Movie Pass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: DEAD DEAL WALKING?

I couldnít help but laugh when I just saw the new ď3 per monthĒ plan. I agree completely with the above sentiment. Had they handled this differently I may have held on to my membership.

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: DEAD]

I went ahead and cancelled as my monthly charge date for August was approaching. I technically have another 7 days or so that I can use the service. I doubt Iíll bother. What is unfortunate is that...

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: DEAD]

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: DEAD]

Iím in a ridiculously small commuter town near the Bay Area. 75 miles away from San Francisco. As I said, the theater is a ghost town on weeknights. How they consider it a ďpeak timeĒ is beyond...

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: DEAD]

My theater is literally dead on the weeknights. I mean hardly anybody in there. About 90% of the available shows for most of the movies were at peak pricing last night. Roughly about $2.5 extra. This...

Re: American Animals (2018, D: Layton) S: Evan Peters, Barry Keoghan, Blake Jenner

I agree fully on the stylistic choices and the visual elements. Theyíre definitely jarring at first but once I got accustomed to them, they werenít distracting at all and never took me out of the...

Opened here this weekend and I caught an evening showing. Great Flick with good performances all around. Definitely looking forward to seeing more from this director in the future.

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: DEAD]

Iíve been taking pictures and submitting my tickets for the last few weeks. I guess I ďlucked outĒ and was chosen for the test run. Itís fairly easy, but annoying regardless.

Re: Unsane (2018, D: Soderbergh) S: Foy, Leonard, Pharoah, Temple -- shot on an iPhon

Iím pretty sure the theater was having technical issues with that particular screen. Need to see this again in the way it was intended to be seen.
