Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

It's likely deaths will tick up in a few wks as a result of this, but far from a certainty it will be major. Because we are not in the same position that we were in (my God has it been four months?)...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

Almost certainly not... WA is considering rolling back our biggest counties as well, and that would likely be a six wk delay to get them back to stage 3.

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

I think the recent uptick is much more the latter (selfishness) than the stay at home Moms anti-vaxx crowd. The majority of the new cases are younger people, who likely ignored the guidelines.

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

100%, I try to remind myself of that every day. Heck I've been saving money on this thing - between the stimulus, saving on gas, miles on my truck, etc. (I did give most of my stimulus to people I...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

This is shaping up to be the worst possible scenario - we knew cases would rise with re-openings and increased testing, but if we're already hitting (or close) hospital bed capacity... we're stuck. ...

Re: Da 5 Bloods (2020, D: Spike Lee) Netflix

Felt like the various threads just kinda went haywire... I'm sure it will garner Oscar nominations... I just don't think it's anywhere close to Blakkklanasman.

Re: Best Michael Bay Movie?

I still think The Island is overlooked (his only bomb I think), that and 13 Hours are my picks.

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

I had a sore throat last Friday, and feared something worse was coming. Thankfully it completely went away on Sat. Never had a fever or anything... but I was definitely concerned about it.

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

With this past wk's events...it looks like the virus being the dominate headline is over for the time being. As someone who distanced and had no issue wearing masks (inside) to be polite to...

Re: The Killing of George Floyd Thread

That's not gonna help clear anything up that's for sure. Good grief, why do reporters still try and do these street level reports... just park yourself on a roof and shoot the scene from above.

Re: The Killing of George Floyd Thread

It is very depressing to watch these scenes... there is so much dysfunction, and people not valuing their own dignity. Despite our country's wealth, you don't have to look under the hood very long...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

Despite our biggest counties in WA still being under lock-down, my townhome complex was nearly emptied out as if it were a regular work day. I could get used to that, it sure was nice and quiet! On...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

Yep, that's my plan.

Better news, it looks like this week's death count will be about 5.5K, down significantly from last wk, which was around 8.5K.

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread

Re: Henry Cavill to return as Superman in DCEU?

They could actually just call the next film Superman, since it still has never been used! I think this is a win for all parties involved. Assuming the Snyder JL is well received, it could still...

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021, D: Snyder) -- HBO Max Exclusive

Maybe they release it in the episode form, with 'making of' segments in between....and leading up to a final full film version. Might as well milk it for all it's worth, I think they'll offer all...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

I would think every precaution. Heck my parents are in their mid 60's and we are taking precautions. When things start to open up on June 1st I'm not going to rush out...that's a personal decision....
