This is my sixth year doing the challenge. I am still a youngster!

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

It was another great challenge. I am sad to see it end. I finished up with 105 watches, 41 were first time. It still amazes me how many movies I have yet to see. I also completed the checklist...

Re: "Slaxx" Reviews/Discussion - 2021 Horror Challenge

Horror comedy about a clothing store that produces killer jeans. Silly, but a decent one time watch. The key to these type films are memorable characters. Unfortunately, there really isn't any stand...

Re: "Halloween Kills" Reviews/Discussion - 2021 Horror Challenge

I am convinced that Danny McBride and the Director intended this to be a comedy. These guys are too good and too smart to just carelessly write stupid dialogue and stupid character decisions. I think...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Finally crossed over the 100 mark today. I am not sure what it was, but getting to 100 this year was a real challenge.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I watched Killer Condom for the first time today. It is the suprise of the challenge for me.

I really enjoyed this film. I expected some kind of Troma like toilet humor, but this was an...

Re: "Body Bags" Reviews/Discussion - 2021 Horror Challenge

I think this is a solid anthology with three equally good stories and good wrap around.

Re: "The Untold Story" Reviews/Discussion - 2021 Horror Challenge

A brutal, fast paced story based on "The Eight Immortals Restaurant Murders". Anthony Wong is great as a complete maniac, without any morals or empathy. He was also great in Ebola Syndrome. i do...

Re: "The Gate" Reviews/Discussion - 2021 Horror Challenge

The Gate is one of those "kids in peril" films from the late 80s that is nostalgic if you grew up with it. If not, i don't think it holds up. A group of kids find a hole in the ground unlocks the...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Nosferatu in Venice was apparently torpedoed by Kinski to the point where the director left and Kinski had to direct some of it. They had shot a bunch of scenes with a Kinski double in the original...

Re: "Possessor" Reviews/Discussion - 2021 Horror Challenge

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree with the Chronenbergs. A strange , surreal story about body jumping and mind control. I am not sure what the motivation for this was, but it was...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Ive watched this one a couple of times now. The opening pre-title sequence is really a strong set up. The rest of the film is very interesting. I kind of gave up trying to understand it all, lol.

Re: "The Collector" Reviews/Discussion - 2021 Horror Challenge

The Collector is fun. I have seen if a few times now. i do agree that the sequel is better. The whole setup is ludicrous and over the top.

Re: "Daughters of Darkness" Reviews/Discussion - 2021 Horror Challenge

I have never been a big fan of this modernized Countess Bathory story. I think the movie looks great and the acting is very good, but I find it a bit dull.

Re: "The Ninth Gate" Reviews/Discussion - 2021 Horror Challenge

Polanski returns with an interesting story about a book dealer (Depp) who gets involved in a satanic cult. A bit long at 2 hours and 15 minutes, but I found it to be an interesting watch. A slow...
