Re: Adventures in landlording 2016 edition.

Re: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (Lawrence, 2015) -- The Reviews Thread

That's the only conclusion I could come to as well, but it's a far stretch. It's very obvious, and the entire theatre went silent when that scene came up *teen girls awwing and wooo-ing just...

Re: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (Lawrence, 2015) -- The Reviews Thread

Bad acting, bad dialogue,...

Re: Bridge of Spies (2015, D: Spielberg; W: Coen Bros.) S: Tom Hanks

Saw the trailer at the cinemas and now I don't really think I need to see the movie.

Re: The Martian (Scott, 2015) The Reviews Thread

Saw it last night and thought it was 'meh'.
While it didn't have the massive plot holes of Prometheus, there were some irregular flaws that broke me out of the movie watching experience.

The...

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road (Miller, 2015) The Reviews Thread

Saw it last night.
Wonderful score, cinematography, stunts, costumes and overall realisation of the world.
I wish it had more storyline and character development though.
I didn't go in expecting...

Re: Craigslist phishing scam, what's the angle?

'God fearing person'

Why is this such a commonly used phrase among scammers?

Re: Jack Reacher (McQuarrie, 2012) The Reviews Thread

and
I didn't get how Jack could just swing in and shoot the detective while he...

Re: How often do you get a pay raise?

Never.
Been at my current job for 2 years.
The operations manager even said I make more profit per hour than the rest of the staff, yet refused to pay me more.
So I went from full time to casual,...

Re: Sony introduces ultra-HD '4K' TV

Re: End of Watch -- D: Ayer S: Gyllenhaal, Pena, Kendrick -- 9/28/12

Looks awesome. The camera work especially seems intense.
The gritty look and feel reminds of me of Carnahans Narc.
