Re: Uncut Gems (2019, D: Safdie Brothers) S: Sandler, Stanfield, Menzel, Garnett, Fox, Bogosian

recently saw this. from the little preview thumbnail on netflix I thought it was Paccino t first. Didn't know anything about the movie, figured it'd be comedy, or at least somewhat of a comedy since...

Re: What channel that drifted from its original mission disappointed you the most?

For stuff like that check out Create. It's a pbs subchannel over the air, and here is on cable too. Decent number of cooking shows

Re: Shark Tank (ABC) -- Series Thread Part III

$40-50 for a tie you can wash and will hold up to some abuse is fair. I've seen plenty of dry clean only ties for that much or more
basic not high end branded ones at kohls are $30-40 regular price

Re: Why The Orville is so great, and why it has a place on TV.

Re: Star Trek: Picard - Et in Arcadia, Ego Part 2 (S1E10) - 3/26/20

random thought not directly tied to Picard. Spiner should have worn some kind of makeup/latex facial features when he played the Soongs other than Noonian. Like he did for old Noonian but to change...

Re: Star Trek: Picard - Et in Arcadia, Ego Part 2 (S1E10) - 3/26/20

overall I liked it. The consciousness transfer wasn't actually new, Ira Graves did it in season 2 of TNG and Noonian did it with Juliana sometime prior to season 4
Soong just needs to build a new...

Re: Star Trek: Picard - Et in Arcadia, Ego Part 1 (S1E9) - 3/19/20

not sure how I feel about the retcon, although I am glad that Spiner came back
guess none of the new androids have Data's ethical subroutines

Re: Star Trek: Picard - Nepenthe (S1E7) - 3/5/20

me too. I mean it's kind of fitting to use a 3D printer as the prop, but at least remove the print head and cable since they weren't used for the replicator effect and were just filling up space in...

Re: Star Trek: Picard - The Impossible Box (S1E6) - 2/27/20

Hugh and Picard having a reunion was nice. Hugh being a federation citizen is interesting. Wonder if the rest of the Borg that were with him when Lore was defeated are also citizens and got as much...

Re: Star Trek: Picard - Absolute Candor (S1E4) - 2/13/20

I totally felt like I was watching a computer RPG being played. Kid has an elf sounding name, looks like an elf (beyond the expected Romulan ears, his hair reminds me of LOTR elf haircuts), his whole...

Re: Star Trek: Picard - Maps and Legends (S1E2) - 1/30/20

finally watching
thought it was funny when Picard said he couldn't get into science fiction. Although it was likely intended as a 4th wall joke, considering 20th century science fiction is his...

Re: Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness (Netflix docuseries) -- premieres 3/20/20

so in episode 3 the assistant says the dead husband gave her an envelope and told her if anything happened to him to give it to the police. But that is never mentioned again. Did she give it to the...

Re: The Mandalorian: Chapter 5: The Gunslinger (S1E5) - 12/6/19

agreed. Someone would have moved in, or maybe even a few groups fighting each other to be #1, after Jabba was killed. Unless Luke convinced the New Republic to crack down on crime there since it was...

Re: The Mandalorian: Chapter 4: Sanctuary (S1E4) - 11/29/19

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Abrams, 2019) The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread
