Re: How many of these 1970's PBS KIDS SHOWS do you remember?

In case anyone is interested, there is a site called The American Archive of Public Broadcasting, created through a joint effort of WGBH in Boston and the Library of Congress, which holds a wealth of...

Re: Any story/reasoning behind your username?

Mine is based on one of my favorite animated films, Twice Upon a Time. There is a line in the trial sequence where the two lead characters are referred to as "Ralph, the All Purpose Animal, and...

Re: New! Improved! The 2020 Presidential Election Thread: It's Never Over! Edition

Verbal gaffes or not, the one key strength Biden has over Trump is his innate empathy. Especially given how this year has gone so far, that is what will stand out more than any possible verbal gaffe...

Re: How do you choose what to watch and when?

Very poorly. I spend a lot of time scrolling through countless menus of stuff to watch, and on a rare occasion, I do actually select something to watch. Sometimes having too much choice is a curse...

Re: New! Improved! The 2020 Presidential Election Thread: It's Never Over! Edition

While I like Uncle Joe, and would be fine with him as President (I would prefer Warren), I do also wonder if his votes in Congress favoring the credit card industry, such as stripping bankruptcy...

Re: What is your opinion?

Crunchy cereal sucks. It should sit in the milk for at least three minutes before eating so that it starts to absorb the milk and becomes at least slightly soggy.

Re: What is the best candy bar?

Almond Joy is hands down my favorite, though I wish they would make a version with dark chocolate (like Mounds).

It's still there as a mention (no pic). Look under the Film, Television and Music section.

Re: New! Improved! The 2020 Presidential Election Thread: It's Never Over! Edition

The problem has always been that the tax question is an intentionally misleading one. If it was rephrased to something along the lines of "how will this affect the average American paycheck," that...

Re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

I find it a definite sign of the times that someone edited that Wikipedia entry to include them wearing the MAGA hats at the Trump ceremony.

The funny thing is that Trump still is the creepiest part of the that image.

Re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

Haven't you learned from Trump yet that you never admit a mistake but double down instead. Perhaps something like "Romney was born in Africa but was convinced to forego his horn as a way to prevent...

Re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

The question is whether it could be used as direct evidence against Lindsay's oath of impartiality as a juror. The argument could be made that he perjured himself in that oath.

Whether that...

Re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

Which then, again, begs the question: How can it be "Classified National Security" if it's untrue?

Re: New! Improved! The 2020 Presidential Election Thread: It's Never Over! Edition

Bloomberg (13) - Biden (12) - Klobuchar (11) - Warren (11) - Steyer (11)

Really didn't expect Bloomberg to make even the top six, let along the top spot. No surprise though with Biden, Klobuchar...

Re: Movies That You Once Held Above Others...But Not Anymore

Re: Movies That Have Pointless Scenes

The very ending of John Woo's 1991 Once a Thief has always seemed like the world's most pointless scene to me. It should have ended with the shot of Chow yun Fat on the boat but instead it does this...

Re: Big blockbusters that never left an impression?

Top Gun is the first that comes to mind. Just never saw the wide appeal for what is mostly a meh cookie cutter 80's film with a couple of decent flight sequences and not much more.
