Re: Roger Ebert Ė Discussion & Appreciation [Update: Dead]

One of my biggest literary heroes. I was shocked to say the least. He'll be very sorely missed.

Re: Your Thoughts On: The Rock (the actor, not the movie)

100 percent agreed.

I generally like the Rock a lot. He's charming, funny, has a good sense of humor about himself, and can make almost any movie pleasant.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015, D: Abrams, S: The casts of Star Trek, Lost, Felicit

There's big buzz Disney is destroying the EU and just adhering to continuity from the movies. I say hooray to that.

Re: The Star Wars The Comic Book

If they want to write a comic book based on George Lucas' original idea it'd be called Flash Gordon.

Re: America Is the Least Religious Itís Ever Been

I once read that if someone does posit a debate about religion and they simply refuse to at least concede or just trap you in an endless stream of old arguments, and trite poetry about god's will,...

Re: America Is the Least Religious Itís Ever Been

Man, that's a dusty old tune you've begun playing. What other old records do you have to repeat?

The fact remains as society progresses, we can't abide by old laws. Sometimes some have to be shed,...

Re: America Is the Least Religious Itís Ever Been

It's like people are merely building up points to get them in to heaven, which in and of itself devalues the deeds that are supposed to make you good and upstanding. I consider myself a moral and law...

Re: America Is the Least Religious Itís Ever Been

Every generation has rethought the framework for laws, principles, and ethics, it's a given. Using the bible to keep certain laws the same for every generation is narrow thinking, because every...

Re: America Is the Least Religious Itís Ever Been

I find it horrifying. I mean basing your whole moral code on a book? It makes me uneasy sometimes.

Re: America Is the Least Religious Itís Ever Been

Re: America Is the Least Religious Itís Ever Been

I don't need religion to feel a sense of community. And I don't understand how one can consider their religion their identity, because I feel humans are much more than doctrines created to stifle...

Re: America Is the Least Religious Itís Ever Been

Funny how it all breaks down under logic, eh?

Another issue is the question of: If God created us who or what created God? Therefore who or what created the thing that created the thing that...

Re: America Is the Least Religious Itís Ever Been

It all boils down to once you set limitations the being ceases to be a God. Making it a God limits it by not being a woman, thus it's limited and not flawless or all powerful. Giving it specific...

Re: Favorite movie remake?
