Okay, I completely agree with this. At least when I first saw the trailers.
Levi as Captain Marvel seems more like Freddy's personality than Billy's, from what little we've seen of the two...

Ahh, okay. I just saw a pic of the Johns Dr. Sivana, and it looks just like Mark Strong here. And after reading the New52 summary I can see how that sets up...

Loki and frost giants were great in the first Thor film. But other than that, I agree, that Marvel doesn't have great villains.
Ultron was at least visually cool.

I get some of the complaints about the tone of the trailers.
When I saw the first one, it reminded me of the way 90s superhero films looked and felt. Cheesy.

It's funny that you mention that because when I saw the "TV Flash muscles" comment I was thinking, it kinda works because he's a magical character/has magic muscles, but what you say makes even more...

At first I wouldn't have wanted a light hearted Shazam movie. I never liked the Ordway-inspired series or the Jeff Smith veresion.

Except nobody would see the Fantastic Four and think, "Oh, the Marvel version of the Justice League!"
