I feel really stupid (embarrassed?) Apparently I had my Oppo set for region B & than played a bunch of region free USA discs. The Fassinders & 1900 are region B locked.

All 7 Fassbinders are labeled Region B, but they are region free. Woman On The Run is labeled both A & B, & plays fine in A.

Ended up with 8 total: all the Fassbinder titles other than the TV box & a noir called Woman On The Run.

Unfortunately, there are 2 titles from dvd box #1 not available on br; I say unfortunate...

Thanx! I compared my Criterion Maria Braun DVD to the Arrow box set DVD; & the new transfer is a major upgrade (I'm assuming Arrow used the same transfer that Criterion did....)

I just saw that Criterion is releasing Eight Hours Don't Make A Day in October at a lower price. I'm going to wait on that; possibly get it during the Nov 50% sale for $25. It's currently at $38 on...

I may limit myself to the previously unreleased Fassbinder mini series if the transfers are just higher bit rate versions of the old dvd boxes. (though I'm hesitant to spend $50 or so with shipping...

The prices have dropped since my post above (I thought it was Monday in the UK, & the page indicated the sale was on). I may nab some Fassbinders.
