Noticed most of the other Criterion pre-orders are also that price on Amazon.ca, but I'm assuming they'll all drop. Unobstructed View has most of them at $54 list, and pre-order pricing around $41....

As a label, Olive always seemed to fly under the radar. I was surprised recently when I saw how many titles they actually released over the years. Yet only a handful of 'Signature' editions.

Like I said, there's undoubtedly some method behind decisions like this. Just because a 4K release exists somewhere, Criterion must be weighing other factors when considering whether to do the same....

From a marketing perspective, it's smart. They'll just get the 4K people to buy it all over again down the road. And they will.
