Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Yeah, I have zero interest in having one of those Google things in my house. Neat offer, but no thanks.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Nice! I'm downloading the playlist now so I have something to listen to on my flights :)

If other folks are interested, we can start a new thread for our playlists. We can use the wikipost feature...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Hey, we should all do some shared playlists/mixes again, like we did on that *other* forum that no longer exists. I vaguely recall you (Hokeyboy... maybe someone else) doing a "Dirty Pop"...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

It's worth every penny of the $10/month I pay. If I had more people to put on my account (just my wife and I) I'd upgrade to the $15 family deal. But for now, we just share one account, and it's...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Ah, thanks! Like I said in my post (a year ago), I did think it was a little odd. Apparently it's because I didn't read the question properly.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

This is... interesting. Surprising? Kind of, I guess...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

100% agree with this entire post. Like oh so many of their other "features" (Spotify Apps, Spotify MP3 store...) this video stuff is going to bomb. Nobody wants this from Spotify. I want a streaming...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

I'm using shuffle on a playlist of about 430 songs. It's... better... than it was, but not by much. I don't get any repetition (I think), but it sometimes just plays 4 or 5 songs in a row (no random)...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

If you don't already subscribe to Spotify Premium, you can now get three months for $0.99.

Does not work for existing Premium members, unfortunately.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Access is now open to ALL Canadians.

I'm now patiently waiting for prominent Canadian artists to bitch about streaming services.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Oh, it's intentional. They've blocked Pandora and even Xbox Music.

Further, they blocked access to any form of dropbox-type service. So Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc. are all blocked. That...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

There's definitely a learning curve when you're accustomed to storing and maintaining your own library of music. At this point, I can't imagine ever going back to that. I'm FAR from efficient with...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Tracks are usually removed when the licensing agreements expire before they get a chance to renegotiate. It seems to happen more with 'smaller' releases, and not so much with music on major labels.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")
