Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Picked up Fire Emblem today, only got to play for about 30 minutes, but it looks great. I'm a huge fan of the series so I'm looking forward to really getting into it this weekend.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

You can apparently play without the rhythm mechanic in "fixed-beat mode."

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

As much as I enjoyed the base game on the Wii U, the real gem of this package is the Luigi DLC which is probably my favorite of all the New Super Mario Bros. games.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I registered on launch day and it took 3 or 4 days for the code to hit my inbox. It ended up in my "promotions" tab, so check there (or whatever the equivalent is on your e-mail provider) because I'd...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Hm, for some reason I stopped getting their e-mails and completely forgot about Xbox Rewards, looks like it's been about three years since I've been there. Thanks.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

That's really more analogous to the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online paid service, which will also be offering free games in some capacity.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Even after using some points last year and having some others expire (which *is* bullshit) I was just able to buy Vs. Super Mario Bros. for $1. Sure it was only $7 saved, but I'll take it...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

What? This is hardly a comprehensive list, but the following franchises have had games in the "last generation" of Nintendo consoles (Wii U and 3DS):

Animal Crossing
BoxBoy!
Brain Age
Chibi...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

You say it's getting worse as time goes on, so I would either call Nintendo (1-800-255-3700) or look at getting it returned/exchanged at the store.

I called Nintendo today about the Joy-Con L...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

This is my first time with Shovel Knight and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to play this, it is absolutely fantastic.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I played through the first zone today. So far I'm enjoying it more than Blaster Master Overdrive, though it is no where near as hard as the NES original/Meta Fight.

re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I have to imagine they did it that way for party games 1-2-Switch, so you can easily say "ok, I'll be the red, you be blue" or whatever, instead of left/right/plus/minus.

re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Switch's advertised battery life is 2.5-6 hours, depending on the game. The original 3DS had an advertised battery life 3-5 hours, the NN3DS XL 3.5-7 hours. So I'm not sure what you think is an...
