Yep, I agree, gross sales was a bad indicator. I should have phrased it "box office popularity vs DVD popularity". The issue is more subjective than sales can reveal.

My reasoning for the post is more along the lines of what GuessWho said. I am not interesting in how a movie did financially, but how it did with gross sales (theater vs. DVD).

Can anyone name some movies that did poorly at theaters, but did well on DVD? Bubba Ho-Tep is the only one that comes to my mind, but then again it was a limited release movie.
