Good point. I upgraded Atreus whenever I could. He saved my ass more than once. I think the shock arrows were my most used in battle.

You can return to any place in the game. If you get somewhere and are dying incessantly, it's likely that you are there too early. If a particular enemy is wasting you, you're probably taking him on...

Towards the end of GoW, when I was going after the vakyries, I dropped it down to easy. Before that point I kept it on normal. If someone was one-shotting me, I just moved on to do something else...
