There's a Half-Price Books near me asking $40 for a used copy of Talons and $80 for a used Carnival of Monsters. The mind, she boggles.

Not at this price. Here, it's still very much a niche show. In the UK, it's a ratings blockbuster, so they can afford offering discounts by selling in much higher volume.
