Same—I have no idea when it’s on until it pops up on my DVR. I just watched the first episode, and still like the show, mostly because the food is always different.

I don't really see a favorite after the first episode, but it's been established in the past that you're at a disadvantage if you have expensive ingredients (though the burger guys upset the nommers)...

Yeah, last season was even shorter than usual, but that's not saying much. I guess it WAS 29% shorter than the longest seasons, though.

Just watched the final two episodes, and it was a very quick season, with nothing too interesting, no real villains, and all in California. That one guy could play up his Z-list reality-star status...

Not overly thrilled with any of the teams, but the Mexican and Texas places look good. And of course there's always the eye-candy factor.
