Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

You really can't. Just follow the very simple directions.

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

Modded both and I keep the libraries distinct. I have thought about upping the ante and putting more 2-button libraries (SMS, GB/GBC, TGX16, etc) on the NES and some libraries that would benefit from...

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

You know the old adage: "8-bit don't crack!"

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

I bought one of these for mine over a year ago and it's totally fine as a second: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-wired-controller-for-nes-classic-edition/5709678.p?skuId=5709678

I don't...

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

To be fair, only 1/3 of the games even support 2-player simultaneous play and, let's be honest, those aren't exactly the system-sellers.

Should extra controllers be easy to find? Sure, but I can...

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

Calm down, grandpa, it's the summer. Better to take your kids shopping at midnight than leave them home unattended even if they are asleep.

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

I would expect exactly this many changes in the manufacturing and packaging process since the first release of the NES Classic: 0

The only logical upgrade one could possibly expect is a longer...

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

Extension cords are ridiculously cheap. I bought a pair and use them for my SNES as well. The living room is wide!

I saw two in a case at Target yesterday.

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

So what if people flash it and stuff all the ROMs on there? Still better to get my $60 than $0 when I buy a Pi, right?

That said, I already bought mine and stuffed all the ROMs on it ;)

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

I dunno. I don't think very many people pay for apps. I rarely do but that doesn't mean I have a negative opinion of a demo.

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

This is circular logic. This is like saying you saved money because Target had a sale on jeans you weren't going to buy.

Making a profit is not the same thing as maximizing profit. Nintendo has...

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

Yeah, that's a very interesting option too. I have no carts so I would have to either buy some or invest in an flash-cart. Those options will still be there once I realize the Switch's VC sucks too.

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

I'm starting to think I would rather use the $60 on buying VC versions of these games since I'm almost certainly getting a<s>n NX</s> Switch now.

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

I have a functioning N64 still. I might get the ED-64 v3 as well.

Would love to have an SNES to complete the set.

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

My dad was the one that did that to mine. Something about a co-worker's kid being really sick. AS IF!

I might be able to swing AVS+ED as a permanent solution, but I wouldn't mind paying Nintendo a...

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

I'm in the same boat. I'm really eyeing the AVS, but I own no carts and don't really feel like paying for them.

<s>Will EverDrive work with AVS? Is it just a cartridge-shaped flash drive?</s>

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

Which expectations are unrealistic in 2016?

Take off the "Nintendo gonna do what Nintendo do..." lens before you answer.

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

I'll still get it, even if I just hook it up in the office for a break from work.

I do hope they'll finally do what's right and release one with a marketplace to bring the VC to it, but I'm...
