Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

1 minute?

Because Pauley Perrette is the producer and I assume you know she's worked with CBS for 15 years on CBS and her production company sold this show to them.

When you have someone...

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Is there such a thing as quitting temporarily?

I’m so far behind on NCIS New Orleans and Bull that I stopped recording the current season. I know the entire series for both is on CBS All Access,...

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Sounds like you're dropping/deleting stuff mainly because you have no time to watch any of it. Understandable in this day and age with so much endless shows and content cycling through the year and...

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

The only new Fall series that I gave up on was The Bastard Executioner. Didn't help that each episode was 80 minutes or longer and then I lost track with what the hell was going on. I got to...

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

You know that Beckett didn't break up with Castle for real? It's just part of this story arc with her getting those bad guys that could endanger Castle's life. She's only separating herself from...

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Really? You go from loving it less than 1 month ago, to dropping it?

C'mon man, you don't want to stick around through season 16 of Supernatural. ;)

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Why Black Sails though? Have you seen any of the episodes this season? Season 2 has been excellent. Way better than season 1 with some major game changers. It was already renewed for a third...

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

I watched 5 episodes of Eye Candy and it wasn't clicking for me. Victoria Justice is really hot, but the show is pretty much a cyber crimes cop procedural with a serial killer in the backdrop.

Re: Long Running Shows you Didn't quite get to the End of

None of those shows except True Blood are completely finished. Parenthood isn't done yet, but it's currently in it's final season. Also, a few of those aren't even long-running.

Seems like a few...

Re: Long Running Shows you Didn't quite get to the End of

Those are an exception because Bacon and Davis are feature film actors and only agreed to film limited episodes so they could be available for film roles.

That's why an actor like Vera Farmiga is...

Re: Long Running Shows you Didn't quite get to the End of

Most British shows are government funded and have no commercials. They simply don't have the funding to produce more than 10 episodes per season. The Musketeers, which recently aired on BBC America...

Re: Long Running Shows you Didn't quite get to the End of

Supernatural isn't done yet. It's on season 10 with no sign of ending.

I think Desmond is asking about series that finished airing, which you didn't finish for whatever reason as opposed to long...

Re: Shows you watched religiously but eventually gave up on.

I recall numerous people saying they dropped shows not because they disliked it, but simply didn't have the time to dedicate to it. Let's face it, the DVR has made many TV viewers lazier and not as...

Yeah you're right. The official announcement that it was ending didn't come until after the new year during that season.

Re: Shows you watched religiously but eventually gave up on.

90210 and Melrose were always considered Primetime soaps. 90210 and Melrose got more serialized towards the ends of their runs.

You can't compare those with Daytime soaps. Daytime soaps air 5...

Re: Shows you watched religiously but eventually gave up on.

House ran 8 seasons, not 9. I think it could have gone a little longer had Hugh Laurie's contract not expired and the show being produced by NBC, not Fox, which cost Fox more because of licensing...

Re: Shows you watched religiously but eventually gave up on.

Back then in the early 90s, Fox started their TV season in August and they ran all the way until the mid June. They had to fill 10 months of programming instead of 7-8 months now.

So you're...

Re: Shows you watched religiously but eventually gave up on.

Glee -- I know it's going into it's last season now, but I stopped watching early into season 3. Loved season 1 and watched it religiously. But season 2 I fell way behind and it got really hard...

Re: 2013: TV Shows you've given up on already

Really? You didn't like it. Are you a fan of super hero shows? As I said earlier, I think it's one of the best new dramas this year.

It's really taken off. The last episode that aired this...

Re: 2013: TV Shows you've given up on already

I bailed on Cult after the Pilot. Found the whole premise of a TV show within a TV show to be hokey. I think Matt Davis will be returning to The Vampire Diaries next season.

Plus it looks like...

Re: 2013: TV Shows you've given up on already

 ABC gave up too. Canned after 3 episodes even though all 13 episodes were filmed.

Anthony Edwards even stopped tweeting after the show got axed.

Re: 2013: TV Shows you've given up on already

American Idol.

I've watched every season since season 2, but I just don't have it in me anymore to devote 2-4 hours a week on it,

I still do watch The Voice and will watch it when it returns...

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

Hawaii Five-0 got a full 22 to 24 episode season (most likely it will get 24). Time and Tide is dead wrong with his information. It's doing good at the Monday @ 10 timeslot. It usually wins in the...
