Honestly, I bet it was tested in select stores for a while, and the employees probably ended up putting back display cases for games no longer in stock, which leads to pissed off customers expecting...

When I worked for the Devil (Gamestop) I remember my DM told me NEVER to interfere with a customer's purchase. Everybody's tastes are different.

I'm honestly surprised that everybody was able to find NSMB late November into December. Everywhere I went Christmas shopping, it was sold out. Best Buy, Target, both Gamestops, Wal-Mart.

My main beef with them is putting the used stickers everywhere on the case. It's bad enough they have one on the front and back of the case, but they put a sticker on the bottom spine of the inside...

You know, sadly, I think the answer to this question is yes. I believe the stock also dropped when Amazon announced their trade in program. Not sure about Toys R Us or Best Buy's programs though...
