The 1980 and 1998 versions are almost the same...

The 1980 and 1998 versions are almost the same thing. There may be some minor differences between the two. But mostly it's just the omission of the mothership ending that really sets the two apart....

I will be getting this since the 1977 version is the best version of them all in my opinion! A set like this is what I have been dreaming would be released,and I can't wait!
