Even their fans would have to admit, getting though an entire Ramones studio album was a long slog. Sure they had great singles and their greatest hits are fantastic, but individual albums don't hold...

You could write dozens of volumes on the inequity of artistic quality vs. commerce. It's a story that's been told many times and will continue to be written long after we're dead.

Sure you just don't mean you like it better? Saying "it's better" is pretty darn subjective, especially when we're dealing with pop music.

No way. TV stars like that could get contracts like that because they were on shows that got good ratings. The higher your show's ratings the better contract your agent could negotiate.
