The different designs that are circled represent its respective type of quest...mage, main, side, etc... Essentially you could tell what kind of quest it is if you know which quest line it...

Definitely was planning on doubling up with a weapon and magic, I was led to believe being an Imperial would be a good choice for this.

Are you saying I'll need to build that up because I'll be needing to rely on using potions? I was hoping to rely on restoration healing more. I have zero interest in alchemy.

Can anyone give me any insight on a good strategy on on the perk tree for an Imperial? I chose the Imperial race because I thought it was a good balance of being able to use magic and hand to hand...

So you can join many different groups or factions? I've had a few offers but I haven't committed to any yet because I wasn't sure of the ramifications yet.

I bought some books in the first town I was in from the local trader, unless you're talking about more rare spells.

I remember reading in a review (sorry read a bunch and I can't recall exactly which one it was) that said you don't get punished for leveling quickly like you did in Oblivion.

I LOVE that they changed how you create your character in the beginning. Now all you really do is choose a race and then decide how you want to level your character as you go. The one thing I hated...

That's exactly why I use guides/wikis. These games are already long as it is, I don't want to waste hours of my time having to restart. Too many other games I want to play.
