Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Spotify's apps work great imo. I just wish I could rearrange songs on my phone.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Amazon, imo, needs an interface overhaul on all their platforms. It's fine as a store interface, terrible for everything else.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Spotify is supported on more platforms (I can use it on my Roku, for instance) and has a better overall catalog (Google is still building theirs).

Plus I like the app better.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

I don't think you do get invites, I think you just have to generate them through those websites. I got one for my sister through the @amanda link even though it said no more would be sent.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

I had no idea there was a bluegrass tribute to Tenacious D, theres something brilliantly random about that.

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Slacker Premium (the $10 one) allows you to play any song at any time, but similarly you get to listen to it for 30 seconds and then it magically skips to the next track. At which point you load up...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

and Slacker is worse than Pandora when it comes to repeats.

So far I'm pretty impressed by Spotify, there are a few holes in its collections but it can expand, and it's completely legal which...

Re: Spotify: Everyone Loves Music (or "Streaming is the Future")

Slacker offers a similar service for $10 a month but the Slacker software on Android is so bug ridden that it's really difficult to justify.
