We finished Season 4. I was saying it was a little too real, so they went and did a heist storyline to make it a little more fantastical and it was pretty fun. Very amusing to see Ton using an abacus...

Re-watching Tenchi Muyo OVA with our 14 yo. The pacing is more deliberate and easygoing than so many modern shows, but it's still fun.

After having the DVD for years now, I finally watched Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence tonight. Absolutely trippy and dreamlike, I wish I had watched it sooner.

The DVD only has the Japanese...

We’ve been slowly going through Ghost Stories. It’s funny but it’s so offensive we have to give it a break between episodes.

I've only watched the original, isn't Tohru the main character and she was homeless living in a tent at the start? And they want to talk about her parents that apparently died/left her?

We just plowed through the first season of The Way of the Househusband. Former Yakuza leaves his organization and marries a businesswoman and stays home to run the household.

Yeah, I think the Netflix page mentions it too.

Really digging this series, the whole concept is amazing. I was remarking to my wife how impressed I was that they managed to avoid any similarities...

We just binged S3 of Aggretsuko, a really different turn of events that went a little dark towards the end.

This series remains one of my favorite modern shows.

We finally located a way to watch Ghost Stories, and let me tell you, everything you've heard about the English dub is absolutely true. Absolutely off the wall but still maintaining a sense of plot...

Yeah, our 12.5 yo is watching too and it’s providing some “teachable moments”.

We’re not too prudish, but we’ve made sure to talk about consent and such.

Making a serious effort to get through the original Dragonball.

We watched DBZ when it was big in the late 90's, early 00s, but now we're sitting down and getting through a couple episodes a night.

Picked up Aggretsuko on Netflix again, the second season is a little harsher than the first and not as easy to watch.

Anyone else totally in love with Aggretsuko?

Sanrio does their version of The Office and it's just awesome. Netflix has it subbed and dubbed, it's a pretty quick watch at 10 episodes.
