Pretty sure they canned whoever made all the boneheaded decisions that went into the product. Unless it all came from higher up management, then they probably just blamed it on some subordinate.

I've actually never stopped playing 16-bit games. And the 2D sprites of those look far, FAR better than the rudimentary polygons from PS1 games. Sure, PS1's 2D games, like...

- no real nostalgia for these games
- games have not aged well (or as well as 16-bit, or even 8-bit games)
- poor selection of said...

Good. These companies can get complacent and high off their own farts, and need to learn to actually put some work into a product (especially at this price point). Pretty sure they shit-canned...

I'd take a Sega Saturn classic (if it existed) over a PS1 classic, because the Saturn had more classic 2D games that still look good and better stand the test of time.

Unlike the sprite-based games on the SNES, these early 3-D polygonal games have not aged well AT ALL.
