That opening refrain, which is repeated mid-song, is uncannily similar in sound and text, but I find the rest of the ELO song sounds nothing like "Do You Believe in Love".

I don't hear an aural resemblance at all, and I much prefer "Gloria". JMO.

There are definite similarities, but at what point does one call it a ripoff?

Tom Petty's "Angel Dream No. 2" sounds...
