Yes but lengthwise the drive can be either 30mm, 42mm, 60mm, 80mm, 110mm. Technically they are all standard. 22mm is the most common width so that’s not an issue. Just make sure the heat sink matches...

Any PCIe Gen 4 drive with a read speed of 5,500MB should work. Even with a separate heat sink it can be had for less then $200. You don’t need a FireCuda or a 980 Pro although they are really sweet....

More than likely they setup a return and refund you. Had the same thing happen with a video card(s) last year. If so, at least you tried.
