I don't read them, I can't say I even flip through them if he did a Cable/Stryfe story I'd check it out.

Stories weren't for me either but the art/coloring was beautiful on pretty much everything I saw, at least early on.

I'd add Brandon Peterson to this list of artists that I couldn't stand when I first started seeing him on fill ins then on X-Men. He went over to Cross Gen and something just clicked.

Shit, those Portiacio covers look really good. I was never a Punisher reader so I didn't know he had a run there like Lee did before X-Men.

The funny thing is that McFarlane's art isn't really McFarlane's art. Capulo came on Spawn around what issue 16? He didn't get penciling credit until a year later or so but Capulo is the man behind...

I know why Jim Lee gets lumped into that "Image Group" but he was a different breed. Hell all of them were different. Lee had an ultra realistic detail heavy style. McFarlane was very stylistic....

Exactly. Liefeld was a dynamic artist when he started out. He just got stale and never evolved.

How is it possible that his work has regressed? His New Mutants from the early 90's while not great is head and shoulders about this.

Hmmm, looking at that Capullo cover I'm more confused then ever about the second foot. It's physically impossible for it to be behind the arm.

And in the Capullo cover there is at least some sweat...

Capullo was the permanent replacement for Liefeld after a few fill-in by other artists. I think his last issue was #25...

Hmmm, I loved Capullo from his first issue of X-Force. I actually think he got worse after his McFarlane association.

I think Dan Green was Jrjr's best inker. I think it was Jansen who made his work look like a mess.

I didn't think so. I thought he was inked pretty poorly but I think his pencils still shined through that.

I posted it because it was a cover of his that I liked. Sure the design of the cover, the reason I like it, didn't come from him but it was a cover that he did pencil that I thought was good.
