Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

 I loved the base game, so the DLC was a nice addition at $20. $14 is even better.

My three year old Amazon preorder for Metroid Prime 4 has a Jan 2, 2023 delivery date!

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I don’t know, Nintendo very quickly replaced both my out of warranty Joy-Cons, no questions asked. Have they stopped doing that to need a lawsuit?

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Not much of a deal, but you can redeem 100 platinum coins through My Nintendo for a 7 day trial of Nintendo Switch Online.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I was pleased with how easily and quickly Nintendo replaced my drifting Joy-Con, even though it was way out of warranty. That was until I found the one they sent back immediately stopped working and...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Looks like Nintendo is trying to add a bit of value to their online service with a Game Trials program. Mario Tennis Aces will be free to play for a week, 8/7-8/13, plus 33% discount to buy.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

The eShop has Membrane on sale at 99% off, or 9¢. Pretty fun so far, especially at that price.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Looks like the Switch is now sort of bundling in a game with new systems in the form of $35 digital credit. I like the idea of bundles going that direction.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I can sort of understand that Nintendo has a plan for no Virtual Consol with the mini systems, digital collections, and remakes, but I don’t get why we are almost two years in and they still are not...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I probably know the answer to this because it’s Nintendo, but for Smash, there is no way to play local multiplayer and access two profiles stored on the same Switch, right?

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

So, is it only Nintendo games that have online play walled off? My son just showed me Fortnite still plays fine without the online service.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I am seeing mixed reports about these. They can only be used detatched from the Switch, but is it true that they are also set to only work when playing NES games on the Switch?

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

^ Yeah, getting burned with the crummy Switch version of The Sexy Brutale with its constant slow downs and load screens kicked me to the same conclusion.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
