That’s kinda what I have right now. Basement walls filled with them and a jukebox playing tunes that they bounce around with.

You can put them in one of the trash can/bin items (one that you obtain or buy, not the Island recycle bin)

My wife’s switch is the same. I’ve read a couple of different theories that there may be a certain number of museum donations needed, or that you have to at lest progressed in the game to have KK...

The islands we have visited so far have been pretty boring. One of them was loaded with mushrooms, but nothing really noteworthy for us so far.

You don't have a coffee shop yet. That's what gets created after you find and talk to Brewster.

You have to talk to Blathers (the owl) in the museum to get the instructions to find Brewster.
