Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Well if they release it before the date required, I would assume they will be fine. But I imagine if they make any mid-cycle refreshes, they may have to comply with it.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

EU requiring easily removable batteries by 2027. I wonder if this will affect the next gen Switch development.

Also  to the rule. I am all for making consumer products easier to repair.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Unless there is some smoking deal like GameStop offered in trade in for new one, I don't see much of a reason to upgrade. I haven't played my Switch in ages and the only time I did portable gameplay...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I can't imagine they wouldn't. I might jump on this. Would be nice to have a fresh battery for my Hawaii trip coming up in a few months.

Woops. Misinformation in tweet. $34.99 is family plan. $19.99 for solo plan.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Online plans for Switch: https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online-service/

TL;DR: $34.99/year(family) or $19.99 (solo), 20 NES games with more planned, cloud saves, other stuff.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Yeah I thought the breakable gear would get annoying, but I am sort of enjoying that new twist. Makes it more challenging

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Just started Zelda. Man, this game is great. Picking it up at a BB or something and playing a "demo" doesn't do this game justice. I still suck donkey balls at combat, though.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

The biggest issue is that the switch is on our main TV. He has his own game area with 360 and One S. When he games on switch, it takes up my space. I hate giving up my 75" TV.

Yeah and points are changing, too. Better to wait to register games in March than do it now from what I read.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Rocket League + DLC is at BB for $15.99 w/ GCU. Even though my son plays it on Xbox, I figured for $15, that's a perfect price for some road trip gaming action for him.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I put a tempered glass screen on the Switch. Man I suck an installation. Several air bubbles in it that don't seem to want to go away. Fortunately, it came with 2, so I may try again sometime down...
