Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

Rich Johnston has been speculating that for a couple weeks now. Also Marvel has something big planned around that time as well. Something Marvel "has never done before."

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

Civil War #7 was delayed twice. Marvel pushed a lot of the tie-ins back as well. It happens.

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

Absolutely. Every writer who has left DC after the New 52 has complained about last minute editor interference. Things are changed on a whim instead of being planned out nowadays.

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

A version of the Death of Superman was originally canon for Morrison's Action Comics arc as they mentioned several times the day Superman died. But since Time was being compressed during the last...

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

I thought he'd be back after what happened to his father in Forever Evil #1.

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

Some people are speculating that Wally is the kid tagging the wall and the Blue Flash is someone else. I kinda dig that costume tho.

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

So the solicits say Detective #27 is 96 pages. Not 104. It ends up being $7.99.

Hopefully, Stephanie Brown fans will not be let down by the "New 52 Stephanie Brown."

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

I'm going to guess $9.99. Detective Comics #19 was 80 pages and came to $7.99. The more recent Green Lantern #20 was also $7.99 but I'm not sure how many pages it actually turned out to be.

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

Marvel just upped the price on Infinity #6 from $4.99 to $5.99. Boo-urns!

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

Yeah it doesn't make much sense. If he was giving the money to charity wouldn't he want to get as much money as possible? A microwaved comic in 0.5 condition isn't going to get as much money as a...

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

As expected, DC obliterated Marvel last month with 40.39% of the Dollar Share vs. Marvel's 28.49%. In the Unit Share department, DC has 45.17% vs. Marvel's 29.83%. DC ended up shipping 129 titles...

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

That's Rich Johnston from Bleeding Cool (http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/09/26/so-someone-paid-over-17-for-that-melted-jokers-daughter-1/). He's giving the money to DC's We Can Be Heroes.

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

I'm excited for the Forever Evil mini-series. It started off pretty strong and I've always loved the Crime Syndicate. But unless you read Trinity War first, I don't know how people can jump right...

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

Yeah. It threw some people in a tizzy. And it was done in such a nonchalant manner too. Briefly mentioned in the dialogue before moving on. It was almost an FU to Legion fans.

Same here. ...

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

They commented on that. She may be Aquaman's queen but at no time in the New52 has she ever been referred to as his "wife." Just "Queen."

Yes. DC has no idea WTF they're doing or saying.

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

Divx Comics.

I read Forever Evil and it's not bad. I'm definitely interested in seeing where the story goes.

From what I understand, only a few of the villain books tie into Forever...

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

At the beginning of the New 52, Tim Drake was still one of the Robins (along with Dick Grayson, Jason Todd & Damian Wayne). They mention it in Batman #1 and Teen Titans #1. Fans started asking "How...

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

Well the difference between the New 52 launch and these 3D covers is DC had to start the print run early so the count was already limited before the orders came in. A store may have pre-ordered 100...

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

It's DiDio's "Hollywood Style" of making changes at the last minute. Micromanaged storytelling down to the wire. They can't keep anything straight anymore.

Re: DC UNIVERSE Reboots in September, Same Day Digital Linewide

The only DC book I've kept up with has been Batman but I'm really losing interested in Zero Year. Other then the recently concluded Trinity War crossover, I'm now down to 1 DC book a month. ONE. I...
