Maybe I haven't made it far enough to get to the "far better game". But to put it mildly, I am not impressed so far.

Yeah, that's not a bad idea. Maybe when it's on a significant sale it will be worth getting then. It is kind of dumb, shallow fun. But not worth full price for sure.

Metacritic score (https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-5/saints-row?ref=hp) right in line with IGN at 60​​​​​​.
That's very low for a high profile AAA game.

I bet very few have played the first Saint's Row game. I don't think I have.
The novelty of open-world GTA rip-offs has pretty much worn off for me (cough, Mafia, cough), but I might still check...
