Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I have the Triple H: King of Kings DVD. I bought it a long time ago but only recently thought about something. On the slip cover it says it's a two disc deluxe edition. As far as I know there's only...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

The video they show to hype the match is on disc 1, then disc 2 starts with Justin Roberts saying the following match is no holds barred. Technically it's split but the full match, with both intros,...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I can't say for sure about all copies but mine went silent while Hogan was celebrating too.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

You're welcome.

There's an article on WWE's site about Kmart becoming the official sponsor of WWE. If that's the case then maybe a first week discount will become the norm. It doesn't say that...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I picked up the Royal Rumble 2011 DVD for $9.99 at Kmart today. I think that price is good for one week. No sign of the BD, not that I actually have a BD player, I was just curious if it would be...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I think you're probably right. Consider all the other stuff they could talk about. Twenty years of Wrestlemania, how things had changed, being back at the Garden. Like MD said it was Cena and...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I notice that the last set is 1999/2001. That sounds about right from what I remember, with only a few exceptions the terms "Best of" and "WCW in the year 2000" don't mix well.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

According to the ad in the new WWE magazine The John Cena Experience Blu-ray will have two bonus matches, Wrestlemania XXVI (that would be Batista) and 2009 Tribute to the Troops (I believe that...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Highspots has a three disc set of Hogan in Japan. I picked it up a couple years ago, it's pretty good.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

For anyone interested WWEshop has marked down all the 2008 PPV's to between $8 and $10.

Is the FYE sale still going on? If so, does anyone know how long it will last?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Remember the first Night of Champions, Vengeance 2007? That DVD cover gave away every match.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

On the first 3 disc Flair set there's a pic of him in a stare down with the Undertaker, but no Taker/Flair match on the DVD.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

So many comments have been made as to whether or not the public would want old NWA stuff, but AWA is mentioned here too. What about the demand for a Baron Von Raschke 3 disc Blu-ray set? (I get...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I didn't see the show live so I don't know for sure what it originally looked like but on the DVD you see Taker walking, then they cut to the Rey in the ring, and then cut back to Taker ripping his...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

They simply arn't looking at it the same as you do. There hasn't been a match listing yet, at least not that I've seen, but we can assume it'll go from Wrestlemania to Wrestlemania. That's how the...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

WWE hypes and markets Wrestlemania as the start and end of their year so this DVD will go from one Mania to the next. It will include most of 2009, that's why the description posted before in this...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I thought about that while watching it. They muted out any reference made during the ECW match he would've been in. The only mention I caught was during MVP/Flair when they mentioned MVP had beat...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Someone asked opinions on the Undertaker DVD so I made that list off the top of my head based off the description, the description sounded like it'll be full of gimmick matches. Definitely not an...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Personally I think it's a bit of a stretch to call the WM 26 match a gimmick match. If they include an Elimination Chamber match it would probably be the one from 2008 when he started the match and...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

The description makes it sound like it's all gimmick matches so that's what I went with. Not everything is what I'd pick if I were to make a "Best of..." for Taker because I wouldn't pick all...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

The Elimination Chamber DVD has three extras, Jericho interview, Edge picking Jericho the next night, and the video package of HBK/Taker build up with the cool "Running Up That Hill" song replaced by...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

LOL, that's alright. You just have to give it 6 months or so and they'll be marked down to $20 at FYE cause they won't move like those Hell in the Cell Kane and Taker busts.

Are you sure the 2 disc set listed isn't just the blu ray version?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XII

I read the review you linked to, and I know how most wrestlers do as actors, so I think I'll pass on buying it. Might be good for a laugh as a rental but doesn't sound like a keeper to me.
