Re: Samsung HDTV @ Best Buy

Look I'm not here to start a fight, I apologize for offending you. If you disagree with my position, I respect that, and appreciate a good debate. However, with regard to your second point, please...

Re: Samsung HDTV @ Best Buy

Mosskeeto,

What's with the sarcastic remarks? I'm not claiming that I'm entitled to anything, advocating for a lawsuit, nor whining for a HDTV to be delivered to me for $10. All I'm saying that...

Re: Samsung HDTV @ Best Buy

I agree, but I will be keeping my eye open for a class action suit though, and probably sign up if there is one. Just because BB has a policy doesn't mean that it will stand up to a legal challenge....

Re: Samsung HDTV @ Best Buy

BB did process my order and issued an order number, so we'll see if they will honor it. Anyone know if they are legally obligated to do so? Thanks, and I apologize if I got people's hopes up.

Re: Saddest movie songs?

A personal favorite of mine would be the use of Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind" at the end of Wonderland. Listening to it especially when reading the text of everyone's fate seems to...

Re: Twin Peaks: The Definitive Gold Box Edition (The Complete Series)

The disc allows you to watch the ending of the European pilot separately (which is the only different content from the US version of the pilot). But yes, watch it after the series.

Have fun,...

re: The First Avenger: Captain America (2011, Johnston) - News, cast, rumors

Personally, I would prefer an older established actor like Damon or Pitt in the role to match Downey, et al. Cap's movie origin could be tweaked where he's older when injected with the serum. It's...

Re: 90s vs 00s

Tough call- I think that this decade has done well in terms of the quality popcorn film, ie LOTR, Nolan's Batman films, Iron Man, Star Trek, etc. In addition, there have been some truly great films...

Re: Stars Who Were Huge in the 90s, but now MIA?

I didn't even realize there was an NCIS:LA.

Ginwen,

Pretty harsh... I thought Quinn turned in a good performance in the recent Dark Matter.

Re: Ever get HUNGRY from watching a movie because of the food that was shown?

Every time I watch Iron Man, I kept thinking that since it was LA, they should have product placed In-N-Out instead of Burger King.

Also, Mark Ruffalo does a great job with that burger and the BLT...

Re: Stars Who Were Huge in the 90s, but now MIA?

Chris O'Donnell and Alicia Silverstone- seems like Batman and Robin was a career killer for both of them.

Re: What, in your opinion, is the best ending to a film?

I second the votes for Body Snatchers 78 and Memories of Murder.

Once Upon a Time in the West- Morricone's music when the train arrives is beautiful.

Star Trek VI- the final scene on the bridge...

Re: Recommend some TPB's, please

For Spider-man, I would recommend Death of the Stacys and Kraven's Last Hunt. In addition, they are HC's that are very reasonably priced. Although not mentioned very much, I recommend Mark Millar's...

Re: Marvel Omnibuses you'd like to see

Thanks for the link, I'll check that one out. With my ASM, Amazon simply double shrinkwrapped it to a piece of cardboard and into the box it went. There was nothing there to absorb the shock if it...

Don't mean to come off as threadcrapping, but I recently got my first omnibus: ASM vol 1, and I was somewhat disappointed. Although the idea of the omnibus sounds great, I think that it is just too...

Re: Chiefs -TV mini-series (1983)

I'm glad someone else out there wants this too. I looked at TV Shows on DVD and it states the rights holder as unknown, but I recall it airing on CBS. Given that and its history of being edited in...

I haven't seen the product in question, but if it does say "free ticket", not "an $x value", then it's an issue of false advertising, not being cheap.

If I double dipped on a dvd on the belief...
