This is incorrect information. Yes it was shot in 70mm IMAX which was scanned at 4k vs 35mm 2k, but the non IMAX versions (disc & theatrical prints) have taken the same material originally shot on...

So are the imax scenes extended material or just the film format difference? I know the imax theatrical version is longer but these dvd runtimes are not indicating that.

It is weird because all the way up to the register I was expecting to pay $19.96. I picked it out from one of those cardboard aisle setups which had both 1 and 2 discs and both prices listed, $14.xx...

Sorry if this has been asked. Is there a difference in the transfer/mastering between the 1 disc and 2 disc criterion sd dvds? Is Disc 1 of the Criterion the same as the 1 disc dvd?

You shouldn't be responsible for shipping & handling. If it's really on your conscience, I'd call and ask them to send you a return label and they will probably send it or say to just keep it.
