Re: DVD Talk review of 'Doctor Who: The Complete Specials'

I didn't notice any obvious cuts on the SD set - not to say they're not there, just that I didn't spot them. Anyone have the running time of the "Confidential" as it appears on Blu-ray?

Re: Help ID'ing Kung fu movie and finding on DVD

Sounds a lot like Heroes of Shaolin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes_of_Shaolin) to me. Available in many fine public domain bargain sets.

Re: Ruby-Spears Superman(animated) coming to DVD

Nope - that was late 60s. Superman popped up in Super Friends throughout the 70s and 80s, but the Ruby-Spears series was his first solo gig since New Adventures.

Re: Dragon Hunters - new animated film I've never heard

Re: DVD Talk review of 'Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1960s Vol. 1'

Oh, there's actually plenty of great stuff on the kids' cable networks - people who grew up on cartoons have gone on to make them smarter.

But now my daughter is watching Boomerang all the time,...

Re: DVD Talk review of 'Adventures of Robin Hood - Complete First Season'

Didn't know about the TMG release - I'll have to look into that. Thanks!

Re: DVD Talk review of 'Pillow Talk - 50th Anniversary Edition'

Wait, are you telling me that films like Arthur and The Thin Man aren't scathing documentaries on alcoholism?

Re: DVD Talk review of 'Max Fleischer's Superman: 1941-1942'

"First Flight" is a holdover from the Superman II two-disc set.

Re: DVD Talk review of 'Doctor Who: The Ribos Operation'

The features on that old set were so slim (just commentaries; we can live without those Who's Who bits) that I doubt a comparative anything would be worth the time.
