Speculating, but every time they have specified a (new) HD restoration/master, it's turned out to be the master they have used for DVD (with maybe some more work done):

They wont, but it will be the 2005 HD master that they used for their DVD (presumably because they cant get access to do a new master from Pathe).

The transfer is not from MGM but an independent licensor I believe. And yes it's from 2010 according to the liner notes.

I believe it refers to a 1080p HD Telecine, ie not a recent 2k scan.

yeah it's one of the rumoured WB titles that they got. And strictly speaking, it should be Jacques Torneur and not Paul schrader :)

Speculation is that Pathe's transfer/master is rubbish and that Criterion dont have access to materials to do their own (eg Purple Noon)

yeah hopefully he was able to contribute somewhat. I assume Criterion wouldnt mention his name if he didnt actually get the opportunity to have some part in the process.

McCabe has been confirmed as coming, via a 4k restoration overseen by Vilmos Zsigmond.

Chimes at Midnight is also coming, but I believe via a 2k restoration that is different to the underwhelming...

done right, McCabe should look stunning in HD. Heck, look at the Arrow release of The Long Goodbye for example.

On FB they said it's a re-edited version that runs 90 min and 120 min on each of the 2 film discs. I believe the original doc is 800 min or something.

they dont sell through TCM shop anymore but as the poster above has mentioned, they now have their own site (twilighttimemovies) in addition to SAE.
