Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 20th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Maybe a wildcard type title for Loups-Garous? Is it thematically connected at all? I might check it out, since I'm always looking for the kind of thing my wife could enjoy during my Halloween binge...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 20th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Historically, I don't start the checklist until 1-2 weeks into the month and wind up taking a break and then my OCD makes me stress about to fill in the blanks in the last week or so. This year, I...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 20th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I still like my collection, but I do look at it a little differently than I once did. I will still upgrade some favorites to 4k, like Monster Squad. Some for improved quality, some to replace iffy...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 20th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Sorry to hear you have to do that. Hope you and your family stay safe and can come back to a preserved home.

I'm glad everything is coming back positive despite that is probably very...

Hey, that's my neck of the woods. Glad you were able to get out this way safely and your house is fine. I hope you are able to get back there soon.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 20th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I came pretty close to ordering both of these with my order of back issues of RetroFan for their Michael Eury sale (which I realize would have included that issue of Back Issue. Now I really can't...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 19th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

This was another of the tougher years to get time in front of the tv some days. The last week or so was better, especially this past weekend. But the best part is we found a few more movies that my...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 19th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I've got one more movie needed to complete the checklist. Not bad considering I had pretty much written it off this year until Friday. Hope to get that in when I get home from work this afternoon....

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 19th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Mani is Mark Dacascos of Double Dragon and I am Omega fame! (I know, Iron Chef, John Wick 3 and Hawaii Five-0 are probably far more recognizable)

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 19th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

October really snuck up on me this year. I've had my head elsewhere between things going on with the family and heavy work demands the last few months. I think I'm going to avoid setting any real...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Caught Vicious Fun this morning. I'm not sure I'm going to want to come back to it much, but it sure was a good time for a first time watch. This time of the month, unless it is a favorite, that is...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I feel like people wind up being way too easy on it or too harsh. It isn't as good as the original like some people say nor is it terrible. I would say there is a good time to be had in the movie....

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Got most of the harder to hit parts of the checklist knocked out and started to think of my foreign language horror flicks to watch. The first four that came to mind are all in Spanish...not sure...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I rather enjoy Elseworlds stories. Assuming they are otherwise well-done, of course. And yet, I still found Brightburn unenjoyable.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

This made me smile considering your title includes "Comic Nerd" :)

I haven't watched it, but maybe I'll get it into the queue. I honestly forgot about it. Is it a good horror movie that makes...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

With my late start, I've been focusing on the categories of the checklist I always wind up struggling to knock out at the end of the challenge. Once I knock out the writers, I'll probably pop in a...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

About a week into the challenge in earnest for me. Last night we watched Ghostbusters Afterlife because my wife likes the band of kids thing. And honestly, I had high hopes for it and was quite...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

My wife doesn't like most horror movies, either. She likes stuff where children are fighting against something like Monster Squad, The Lost Boys, etc and she likes some of the lighter humorous stuff....

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Thanks Chad and Hamilton/GW!
I haven't even gotten the chance to catch up with the thread so far. We were hosting my wife's parents last week so I only got one movie in last week. But hey, it is...
