Re: Are digital movies (movies with no 35mm prints) allowed more post-production time

I remember when Attack of the Clones came out, there were minor VFX tweaks as well as a couple new shots in the digital version that weren't in the film prints. They were very minor additions IIRC,...

re: Star Wars

I don't think I'll ever watch the prequels again, but I would be happy to spend the money on the six movie set if they just included the unaltered originals.

As it is, I'm happy enough with the...

Re: Danny Elfman's "Batman" Score 2-Disc Edition!

Someone on Film Score Monthly said they talked to the LaLaLand reps at comic con, and an expanded Batman Returns is coming out later this year.

Hopefully Forever and Batman and Robin will follow.

Re: Criterion sale at Barnes and Noble, 50-80% all titles in-store and online

Has anyone ordered 400 Blows, Bottle Rocket, The Last Metro, or Chunking Express from BN online since the sale started? I'm curious to see if they are shipping out the new packaging versions yet or...

Re: Criterion Sale? Ever Again? (NOW ACTIVE/ALIVE AT B&N)

Yeah, for whatever reason every Barnes and Noble that I've been to in the last couple days has had it marked for 49.99 as well. I just ended up ordering it online.

Yep, Lewisville actually.

Re: Criterion Sale? Ever Again? (NOW ACTIVE/ALIVE AT B&N)

3 for 4 this morning on the $5 in-store coupons. The cashier at the store that rejected the coupon wouldn't take it because the Blu wasn't over $20. Oh well, will try back and hope for a different...

Re: Chris Nolan's Insomnia - July 13

Yeah, it was one of the titles announced in IFC and Criterion's initial press release a while back. I'm really looking forward to it.

Good news about Insomnia!

re: The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread

So has anybody bought Bottle Rocket or Chungking Express from Barnes and Noble's website lately? I really want them but I don't want to have to spend the extra $10 for the new cases if they are still...

Re: Burn After Reading - $6.49 @ amazon

Amazon already shipped mine out this morning, so I don't think you have to worry about them canceling any orders.

re: The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread

Oddly enough, my BD of Kagemusha had the same issue when I bought it back during the last Barnes and Noble Criterion sale. Thankfully, I caught the sticker before I put it into the player and was...

Re: What are you looking forward to in 2010?

Inception is top on my list, but I am also very anxious to see what Scott and Crowe do with Robin Hood.

re: Amazon.com Discounts and Deals on Blu-ray

Amazon matched BN on Tropic Thunder at $9.99. Looks liked they also dropped There Will be Blood and Sweeny Todd back down too.

Re: $10 off Up and Monsters, Inc. pre-order at Amazon

Great deal, thanks OP!

Before all is said and done, I wouldn't be surprised if we get another $5 off each title with the pre-order price guarantee.

For the record, I had no problem getting...

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

I know Amazon usually matches Best Buy and Wal-Mart on blu-rays, but does anyone know about Target? I don't want to drive a hour if I don't need to.
