Re: Ahsoka (S1E07) - “Part Seven: Dreams and Madness” - 9/26/23

So the Night Sisters can use their Triforce balls and find Ashoka in 37 seconds, but Ezra hides out for 10 years, seemingly pretty closeby?

Re: Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (S2E07) -- "Those Old Scientists" -- Crossover with Lower Decks - 7/22/

You could find the way the LD cast “act” off-putting. LD is known for very fast talking, zany and specific call back reference making characters. Yet LD is full canon.

Re: Avatar: The Way of Water (Cameron, 2022) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Saw it today in IMAX 3D. I really don’t prefer 3D but no 2D IMAX showings. Overall I liked it, which was a surprise as I really didn’t have a “need” to see it but had a day off today.

Some...

Re: 1883 - A Yellowstone Origin Story (Paramount +) - from EP Taylor Sheridan - premieres 12/19/21

After so many people raving about Yellowstone, it was time to watch and so glad I did. Haven’t started S5 as I moved to 1883 and wow. Talk about 10 hours of awesome tv and trips to the onion factory....

Re: Hocus Pocus 2 (2022, D: Fletcher) — Disney+

Sure this wasn’t an Oscar winner but was enjoyable, I’ll take the nostalgia and my kid liked it.

Best line of the movie, calling them the “Gothic Golden Girls” 😂🤣😂

Re: Thor: Love and Thunder (Waititi, 2022) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

As a Ted Lasso fan and as mentioned above, I so wanted to yell “ROY FUCKING KENT!” but alas wouldn’t be family friendly, lol. Looking forward to him in the MCU.

I liked Gorr’s motivation (although...

Re: Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (S1E03) -- "Ghosts of Illyria” -- 5/19/22

Loved this Illyria. Lol.

“Would you like me to lie to you now?”

On topic, I am really enjoying this show. Glad to have Anson back after Hell on Wheels and his arc against Chief O’Brien in that...

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021, D: Watts) - S: Tom Holland - The Spoiler Reviews Thread

Awesome movie! Wow. So many huge cheers that made it great to be in a theatre. Murdock, Osborn meme quote, science room spider pointing meme…and holy shit at the cheers for Garfield and then Maguire....

Re: Six-Feet Under - reboot?

“You can’t take a picture of this, it’s already gone”.

Leave the best series finale where it was. As a memory.

Re: Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021, D: J. Reitman) -- S: Coon, Rudd -- The Spoiler Reviews Thread

I should have rewatched the the two films before this. Ray said the firehouse turned into a Starbucks, yet isn’t that where Winston was at the end?

Edit: Apparently Winston talked about that in...

Re: Only Murders in the Building (Hulu) - S: Short, Martin, Gomez - premieres 8/31/21

Just finished this. So good. Love Martin and Short. Martin drugged talking to Siri “I don’t feel so good”

”Ok, now playing Fields of Gold by Sting”. 🤣🤣🤣

Re: Norm MacDonald dead at 61

One of my favorite sketches ever. Can't believe it wasn't one of the first Norm memories that popped to my mind. Hard to think of Charles Kuralt without thinking of that sketch.

Re: A Quiet Place Part II (2021, D: Krasinski) -- S: Blunt -- The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I’m fully vaxxed, do not believe I’m throwing caution to the wind, but glad we are slowly getting back to normal bit by bit.

A good follow up with a very quick pace. Did enjoy the flashback to Day...

Re: Star Trek: Picard - Et in Arcadia, Ego Part 2 (S1E10) - 3/26/20

I suppose Q would have known Picard would “survive” as there’s no way in hell he wouldn’t show up at Picard’s end or close to it.

The Data stuff was great.

Not liking the cut and paste for...

Re: Star Trek: Picard - Remembrance (S1E1) - 1/23/20

Nah....the only odd part of the episode for me was when Pill’s character gave the Nemesis/B4 exposition to Picard. Picard already knows that Data downloaded his memories, etc...he was there! Lol.

Re: The Man in the High Castle (Amazon) -- Series Discussion Thread -- Premieres 11/20/15

Same here, liked the show but the finale scene was confusing. Why would people be looking so happy to come to a currently horrible world and where did they come from? Boom..fade to black. Ok.

Re: The DVDTalk Survivor Game Fall 2019 Edition - Island of the Idols

I can’t make the draft so was going to sit this one out. If you end up needing just one more player, I’ll take the leftovers and will send my $5 over. I’ve won BB but not Survivor so might as well...

Re: Spider-Man: Far From Home (Watts, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Yeah you’d think the drones could have come in handy during the Endgame battle. Although I guess it wasn’t in the “only one” victory scenario Strange saw, lol.

Agree that Mysterio was cool. Wish...

Unreal. Worth the 13 year wait. Everyone got a moment.

And it was awesome that...

Garret Dillahunt came back for Round 3 :-)
