Is there a specific model or line that I should look in Toshiba 27"? I want a flat screen, good tube and great for progressive-scan DVD players. Should it work well?

In terms of picture quality and I'll most likely be using it for DVD usage as well as some TV here and then. So most likely 4:3?
Is Sony WEGA a good choice? Or is there some awesome...
