I don't have the Edko for a good comparison but I just checked those 2 scenes on the Starmax and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Looked all good to me. No shoddiness or coulour scheme changes.

I had a quick look at the starmax LE and my first impression is kind of a mixed bag. compared to previous releases the detail is better in places but the contrast seems a little on the bright side....

you have The Great Silence (Il Grande Silenzio) yet? it's brilliant. r1 quality isn't great but sure is watchable... there's a japanese one but probably 3x the price of the r1.
