The only P&S version of these films I ever saw had the crawl stretched to fill the screen. I always thought they just went upwards. The writing was very long too.

In my experience the 5.1 always sounds more dynamic then the 2.0. 2.0 is never any good and should be replaced by a decent PCM track. That's just me though
