Re: The Complete Prisoner Series: 10/27/09

Re: The Complete Prisoner Series: 10/27/09

I have Zulu from the UK which is region free and it plays fine on my Region A Sony.

I'm hoping that A&E uses the restored prints from the UK. I loved this series when I first found it on a local...

Re: Battlestar Galactica: Complete Series Blu-ray Collection -- July 28th

Those binders aren't the easiest to find either. But I've seen them selling for about $15-$20.

Re: Battlestar Galactica: Complete Series Blu-ray Collection -- July 28th

The only problem with those is finding cases that hold up to 6 discs for season sets :grumble:

I've printed these up and used them on double disc cases:...

Re: Battlestar Galactica: Complete Series Blu-ray Collection -- July 28th

Set arrived today. Box and discs are undamaged.

Packaging for discs not as bad as I heard but wish there was an episode guide.

Re: What Blu-ray Discs are you getting on 06.16.09...?

Possibly Sword of the Stranger,

But Costco has $20 off WB Blu-Ray boxsets and I was thinking of picking up the Harry Potter years 1-5 for aboout $60 odd.

Re: Studios with worst Blu-Ray startup

Disney is the worst, and add to that, not being able to resume play on titles, so if you stop, you have to go through all that again.

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

Picked up Iron Man and Tropic Thunder at Target. Did not know that Amazon matched the pricing but since Tropic Thunder is not one of the ones they matched I'm glad I went to Target. In the meantime...

Re: Region-Free BD Player: Momitsu BDP-899?

I know my old Momitsu had problems sometimes with DVD+R DL. I had to replace the loader once and shortly after that, it always had a loud high pitched whine whenever I played a DVD-R.

I hope they...

Re: IP MAN DVD Mini Review

The video quality on the Universe disc is a little underwhelming, but their blu ray is solid and a huge improvement. The movie itself is very good and one of Donnie Yen's best efforts.

Re: LOTR in HD?

The context of what Jackson said should be taken into account. He was on stage shortly after the Oscars in front of 1,200 fans at TheOneRing.net's Oscar Party. He was joined by all theother Oscar...

More like something from Mecha Streisand. I prefer the 1938 version too. Better music, story, acting, action. And best of all, no Bryan Adams!

I'm also a fan of the BBC Robin of Sherwood series.

The section in the book is fairly long, from the hints at Bree to the end, it is longer than the Council of Elrond section in the books. Imagine that on film. That's two hours itself. I don't mind...

Re: Re: Continuity Errors in TTT?

I noticed that Sam and Frodo's broches always stayed opposite each other as if they were mirrored. I think that was deliberate.

Not quite a continuity error but the horse that Eomer gave Aragorn...
