Re: Announcing changes to the Politics forum

Oh, please, please get religion into a place of its own? Politics are fun. Religion is of interest to...somebody, I'm sure, but not me.

Re: Need advice: intro to scary movies for my 10yr old boy

Ten? He's definitely ready for the 50s-60s horrors. I saw The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms in the theater - I would have been 7 - and I was very impressed when the Beast ate the cop. I've loved...

Re: Okay admit it, how many of you have bought those 50 DVD movie collections?

These sets can be useful in locating bad-but-fun movies, like "Horrors of Spider Island." I watched it in a bad transfer on a 50-of set, and ended up getting a remastered version from Something...

Re: Anything worth checking out from Germany/Amazon.de?

Re: HD Channels cropped

It is maddening. How about the History Channel? They recently showed "world war 2 in the air in HD." Incredibly, the color war footage (which was 4:3 when shot) was stretched, while the interviews...

Re: HD Channels cropped

Yes. Showtime reliably shows 2:35 films correctly, and occasionally the HBO family does it right. Very annoying.

Re: What's the best option for importing [Rec] 2?

September 20 in the UK; no worry on the subtitles, and not hugely expensive.
