Re: Damsel (2024, D: Fresnadillo) S: Millie Bobby Brown

More than hands needed monitored. See my comment above about her burns toward the end of the movie.

Re: Argylle (2024, D: Vaughn) S: Cavill, Rockwell, Howard, Cranston, Cena, Jackson, O’Hara, Lipa

I wouldn't be watching it if it starred Melissa McCarthy. As it stands, I'm all in for some thicc Bryce Dallas Howard. Sexy AF.

Re: Damsel (2024, D: Fresnadillo) S: Millie Bobby Brown

Glaring continuity error toward the end. She had a bad burn on her right shoulder, but right after her ordeal it had moved to her left.

Re: Poor Things (2023, D: Lanthimos) S: Stone, Ruffalo, Dafoe

It took me watching it through once and then watching the first part again to fully grasp that...

Re: Mojo Nixon dead at 66

I got to meet him and spoke with him briefly after a show in Indianapolis many years ago, after he opened for Dread Zeppelin. I say briefly because his people called him over for something and he...

Re: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023, D: Wan) -- The Spoiler Reviews Thread -- RIP DCEU 2013-2023

I thought this was OK. Nothing mind-blowing or life-changing, but a good way to spend a couple hours if you've already gotten everything productive for the day finished and have absolutely nothing...

Re: Andre Braugher dead at 61

I loved him as an actor. The first thing I remember seeing him in was actually Striking Distance (1993) as the district attorney. He made even a small role like that memorable.

Re: The 95th Academy Awards --> 2023 Oscar Awards Show Discussion

A24 has become quite the studio, putting out great movies with great performances left and right!

Re: History of the World Part II (Hulu) - EP: Mel Brooks - premieres 3/6/23

I'm a few episodes in, and so far it's pretty disappointing. I haven't laughed once.

Re: Willow (Disney+) - sequel series - premieres 11/30/22

I think I spotted a cameo of one of the original Elora Danan babies from the movie:

Re: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (Disney+) -- premieres 11/25/22

My favorite line had to be Nebula, after Quill told her to go catch Kevin after he ran off, and not to kill him: "YOU CAN'T OUTRUN ME, BACON!!!"

Re: Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire (AMC) -- premieres 10/2/22

Someone explain something to me about this show, please:

Based on what I saw in the first episode, it was established that Eric Bogosian's character is the older version of the Christian Slater...

Re: A League of Their Own: The Series (Amazon) - Based on the movie -- Premieres 8/12/22

After I started watching this, I read that while she was filming this, Molly Ephraim was very pregnant, and they had to do whatever they could to hide her belly. Now I can't unsee it. LOL

They may...

Re: The 94th Academy Awards --> 2022 Oscar Awards Show Discussion

Some people seem to be taking the concept of "defending" a little too far. It's not like Rock was beating up on Jada, or physically attacking her in any way. THAT would be grounds for being...

Re: Hawkeye (S1E06) - Finale - “So This Is Christmas” - 12/22/21

For everyone saying Kingpin is still alive, I have to say it's possible that she actually did kill him, and they didn't show it because, well, Disney, and a brutal execution like that doesn't exactly...
